Green River Asset Building Coalition volunteers prepared and filed 4,579 tax returns in the 2017 tax season for working low-to-moderate income families in the Green River service area, at no charge. Tax filers received nearly $6.4 million in total tax refunds.  A conservative estimate of the aggregate savings in tax preparation and filing fees exceeds $800,000.

In the previous 13 years, GRABC volunteers have prepared and filed more than 39,000 tax returns, saving working families in the region more than $9.0 million. This tremendous record is attributable to an outstanding core of experienced and dedicated volunteer income tax prepares. Green River Asset Building Coalition has 20 volunteers who have served for 11 consecutive years.
